  Admission Criteria CPMC for 2012-17  
     
 

 

Admission in the MBBS Program are strictly on merit under the guidelines laid down by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council. Students from all provinces of Pakistan, overseas and foreigners may apply.
Eligibility:
·   Applicants must have passed F.Sc. (Pre-Medical) of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education in Pakistan with at least 60% marks or equivalent examinations like British A-level or American High School Examination (out of three science subjects Chemistry & Biology are essential).
· The candidate who has passed British A-level or American High School Examinations should submit the equivalence certificate
from the Inter-Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC), House No.342, St.97, G-9/4, Islamabad.
· Applicant must have passed UHS Medical College Admission Test (MCAT)/ Provincial Entry Test of respective province/ SAT II with minimum 550 score for foreign students (out of three science subjects Chemistry & Biology are essential)
Admission:
It will be strictly on merit. The merit is based on the marks obtained in UHS Entry Test, F.Sc. (Pre-Medical) or equivalent, Matriculation and interview by the Admission Committee CPMC. As per PMDC direction the weightage ratio will be as under:
Matric                                  10% 
F.Sc.                                    40 %
Provincial Govt.Entry Test       37.5%
CPMC Interview                     12.5%
Interviews:
The short listed candidates qualifying the eligibility criteria will be called for interview.
Categorization of Students:
The college welcomes students from all parts of the world in term of their origin, the college categorizes them into two groups. The applicants compete within their group and fee structure is different for each group.
     Pakistani:
     Students born, raised and educated in Pakistan.
     Foreigners: 
       . Foreign passport/Green Cardholder’s children educated abroad or locally.
       . Expatriate Pakistani's children educated abroad.
